Spiritually supporting older people in the community
About St Albans Anna Chaplaincy
Anna Chaplaincy seeks to accompany people in the later years of their lives. It is an ecumenical, community-based service promoting the spiritual welfare of older people. The Chaplaincy is a person-centred and non-judgemental ministry for people of strong, little or no faith at all. The Chaplaincy in St Albans was set up by both Methodist Churches in the city, and now comprises a growing team of ecumenical chaplains.
Home visits
Many older people struggle to make it along to church or to get out and about during the week. Pastoral support can be offered through Anna Friends who work alongside Maggie, the lead chaplain. Do contact her if you would like a visit from one of the team.
Services in retirement flats
Anna Chaplaincy offers Communion services monthly at several of St Albans Retirement Flat complexes. If you’d like to know where these take place, to enable you to join us, please click on the tab below..
